Event Licenses Are A Pre-Requisite For An Event. We are writing this blog based on our past road show organizing experience. Planning a roadshow event in Kochi & Ernakulam can be a very good thought to promote certain ideas of a Company or any NGO. But there are a set of rules & regulations which are to be considered before planning it.
Most hotels provide clients the list of licenses, which they would require to be submitted to them 48 hours before the event begins.
There may be slight differences in the list provided, depending on the type of event and the venue rules.
Licenses For Events( These licenses are common for almost all events)
Here are a few permissions and licenses that might be required, if you are planning your event in Kerala- mostly based on the venue(indoor or outdoor), time of the event, type of the event, expected audience age.
- IPRS : The Indian Performing Right Society India
- PPL: Phonographic Performance Ltd
- Loud Speaker License from your local police station
- Premises License
- Performance License
- NOC from the Traffic Department
- NOC from the Fire Brigade Department
- NOC from the electrical inspector
- NOC from the Health Department
- NOC from the Collector (if there is ticket selling or charity show)
- NOC from the RangabhumiParinirikshanMandal
- Certificate regarding the fitness of the machinery (in case of amusement rides)
For the DJ at your event, you require :
- Novex: This License Is Acquired For Any Music Used At The Event Which Is By Yashraj Films, Shemaroo, Zee, Eros.
If you are having any Live Performance at your event, then you require :
- IPRS: It Stands For Indian Performing Rights Society Ltd. It Is Issued For Any Live Entertainment For Your Event.
Other Licenses Include :
- Liquor License
- Public Works Department License: You need to get this when you have a generator at your event.
- Foreign Artist Permission: When you have guests/performers from other nationality performing at your event, you require to submit their documents i.e passport and visa copy to the authorities.
